My Dream

I love creating. I also truly enjoy:

• meeting people and getting to know them and understand what they want;
• sharing what I find compelling about the aesthetic and scientific singularity of Beaver Canyon andesite;
• experiencing reactions to our stone and the water features I am able to create with it;
• translating imagination into a lasting positive physical reality.

I want folks to entrust and empower me to create art that lives, gives pleasure, and serves to focus and reorient in those all too rare and fleeting spells of relaxation. This is what I do. This is what I enjoy. This is what makes me feel honored and energized.

I have created many modestly sized and priced fountain sculptures in both residential and commercial settings. I am indebted to those who have purchased them, for this has helped me pursue such an artistically fulfilling and unusual vocation. As far as I know, I am uniquely blessed in this regard. To my knowledge, no one else makes the presentation of this exotic and rare material their primary artistic focus.

Now let's talk dreams! Modesty aside, I want the opportunity to create something truly extravagant – an elegant and singularly uplifting fountain sculpture of iconic scale and intent, a one of a kind in the world feature where imagination could fly free of the mundane, one that would draw upon everything I have learned and propel me and my cadre of creative associates beyond where we have been into the fertile fields of our imagination.

I have detailed out this dream, and in my imagination I see:

• exclusive access to the best material the Beaver Canyon quarry can produce;
• a pre-build project phase where the feature would come to life as a mock up, to run and be tweaked by all involved and finalized prior to installation on site;
• a client with vision and budget to empower my dream.

So far the first of the above elements is a reality. I have been granted exclusive rights by the quarry to the best of the best material they produce. The second element above is not a problem and I have absolute confidence in this phase of the project.

But for my dream to come true the last element needs to become reality. I must find and connect with someone seeking the extraordinary, someone who will believe in me, believe in the Beaver Canyon andesite material, and take the plunge with me!

Many times I have perused Architectural Digest thinking of working with the fascinating people whose homes and craft grace its pages. In a recent issue the Calabasas, California retreat home of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith was featured. I read with great interest about this couple's proclivity to indulge their eclectic taste, placing a high value on craftsmanship and natural materials.

"This is me!" I thought. "This is right in our niche!"

I can see myself working with and for the likes of Will and Jada, as they seem like genuine and down to earth people. And having seen pictures of their get away home, they obviously have fine taste!

Perhaps a Will or Jada would value something exotically unusual -- presented by nature, crafted by human hands and inspired intent for their enjoyment. If they knew about the potential of this beautiful rock when combined with water, lighting and imagination, wouldn't they want what I am uniquely prepared to create?

Ah, dreams... we all have them. How about yours? Have you allowed yourself to imagine what could be and how you would feel were your dream to come true? Have you written out your vision and shared it with others?

Somewhere out there I will find my Will and Jada, I know it. Meanwhile I will continue to happily pursue and enjoy more modestly scaled projects -- and I welcome your interest on any level. Please contact me.
