Honorable Mention at 2010 Philadelphia International Flower Show


We were extended a special invitation by the PA Horticultural Society to exhibit at this year's show in spite of their several year waiting list for new vendors.  We are also very pleased to have won an “Honorable Mention” citation for our show display.

Toward the end of the show a distinguished looking gentleman from the PA Horticultural Society approached me with a blue ribbon draped across his open hand. In case he was lost I was ready to try to help when he asked if I am the owner of Igneous Rock Gallery!

My heart started pounding out of my chest as his other hand reached for the blue ribbon.........which he then moved aside, followed by the red one underneath it, then the yellow third place ribbon. Having finally uncovered our white honorable mention ribbon, he handed it to me and congratulated me. Silly me, but for a second I allowed myself to imagine we won the blue ribbon!

We decided the white ribbon looked great hanging off the black background of our logo sign, much better than the blue one would have!
